Titel
Hemocyanin from cell cultures of the sea snail. Megathura crenulata
Alternative
Hemocyanin von Seeschnecken, Megathura crenulata, Zellkulturen
Abstract
Conditions for cultivation of marine snail cells, including a culture medium were developed. Cultivation of cells of different tissues (cells from hemolymph, heart, foot, ovarian, testicle and mantle) was possible in this medium. Cells of the hemolymph showed a high concentration of hemocyanin after washing and cultivation for 7 days. Current investigations concentrate on a possible de novo synthesis of the hemocyanin under culture conditions.
