Abstract
Each joining technique shows advantages and disadvantages. For every technique the advantages and disadvantages are pointed out. In every case the possibility of combining with adhesive bonding technology is considered. The aim is to show how the advantages of conventional joining technique and adhesive bonding technology can be lead to synergistic positive effects and how disadvantages of both techniques can be eliminated. For each combination successful examples are given.
