Abstract
FTIR-spectroscopy and thermochemistry was combined to investigate the pyrolysis products of GAP and cured GAP. The IR-fingerprints are presented and how they change on programmed heating. The concentration-time profiles of the main products were constructed. The profiles of NH sub 3 were kinetically analyzed. The ammonia decay was found to be the same for GAP and cured GAP and showed first order. The kinetics follows that of the N sub 2 development. The split-off of molecular nitrogen is the rate determining step in the GAP decomposition history.
