Extraktion von polymeren Bindern aus Pulver-spritzgegossenen Werkstücken mittels überkritischem Kohlendioxid
Abstract
Equipment will he described to extract polymer hinder components from powder injection molding workpieces. First results of the. extraction of polymer binder components with supercritical carbon dioxide in dependance of temperature, pressure and carbon dioxide flow rate are presented. Accompanying to that the solubility of the used polymers up to 50 MPa and 360 K was examined. By the extraction with supercritical carbon dioxide it was possible to remove 60 vol.% of the polymer binder within one hour. The parts suffered no damages (bubbles, cracks, deformations) but staid in shape. As a result of the reached porosity it is possible to reduce the time of the furthermore necessary pyrolysis of the remaining hinder components drastically. This has a positive effect on process costs and workpiece quality.
