Abstract
Fibre concrete and composite plates have been experimentally examined in a blast-load simulator. The plates were subjected to static and dynamic loads. The response of the plate was compared with calculations based on a one degree of freedom model in the dynamic case and for static with the yield line theory. The experimental results show the advantages of fibre concrete and composite plates. With the large working capacity and suppression of the scabbing effects the composite elements are excellently suitable for dynamic loading.
