Employment Potential and Application of Virtual Reality in the Domain of Business Management
Abstract
The constant change of economic and social conditions requires from companies and anticipation and integration of the changed parameters in their planning process. These aspects, combined with an increasing information overload in the society, reflect the difficulty of extracting the relevant product and company information in the field of consumer perception. Referring to this problem the requirements for companies are to find new ways of information transfer with more effective methods. The use of VR systems offers a considerable potential for planning and optimizing information and commuication processes between companies and consumers. Tje active participation of the customer within a company's information, the advantages of understanding due to the orientation of natural perception processes and the possibility of the customers to get information according their own individual preference structure, all represent the potential of this medium in marketing. This paper will focus onne w concepts in integration and exploitation of virtual reality techniques in business mangament. Marketing, asa special fiel, will be covered thoroughly. Corresponding applications, which hve been performed at the IGD together with industrial clients, will demonstrate the potentials and benefits.
