A store for, e.g. single parts required in production, has a flexible area occupied by parts so that a circulating belt on which these parts are positioned runs over deflection pulleys which are evenly spaced behind the input station. If a larger storage room is required, the belt is shortened ahead of the input station and extended after the input station where it is evenly occupied with parts.
