Titel
Distributed synchronous interaction examined closely
Abstract
Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) introduces new technolgies which are meant to support people in their need to communicate and to exchange information. We focus on systems which are expecially designed to enable distributed synchronous interaction with the point of interest in a cooperative session. We take a closer look at the evolution of these systems which provide a key factor in CSCW technology. The illustration of new architectures expecially designed for synchronous cooperation support gives a perspective on how today's systems can be enhanced according to the needs of specific application fields.
