Abstract
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Reduzierung der Grenzflaechenreflexion von Polymersubstraten mittels Ionenbeschuss, bei dem mindestens eine Substratoberflaeche mittels eines Argon/Sauerstoff- Plasmas unter Ausbildung einer Brechzahlgradientenschicht modifiziert wird.

 

DE 10241708 A UPAB: 20040426 NOVELTY - A process for decreasing boundary surface reflection of polymer substrates by ion bombardment in which a substrate surface is modified with an argon/oxygen plasma to form a refractive index gradient layer is new. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a surface modified polymer substrate, especially polymethyl methacryate (PMMA), methyl methacrylate-containing polymer or CR39(RTM) (diethylene glycol bisallyl carbonate) treated as above. USE - The process is useful for decreasing reflection of optical elements, e.g. Fresnell lenses (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The treated polymer substrate has a high transmission rate over a wide spectral range completely independent of surface structure, and the process is simple and cost effective.
