Abstract
DE 102007045799 A1 UPAB: 20090509 NOVELTY - The detector has coupling units (2b-1, 2b-2) to couple a laser beam produced by lasers (2a-1, 2a-2) of scanning modules (2-1, 2-2) on partial areas (T-1, T-2) of an x-ray image storage film (1). Decoupling units (2c-1, 2c-2) collimate a fluorescent light produced by a partial section of the areas irradiated by the lasers. Detection units (2d-1) enable space-resolved detection of the collimated light produced in the areas. The modules are formed as an integrated unit that is made of high x-ray absorbent materials such as lead glass, barium fluoride, or hard metalliferous plastic material. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for an x-ray detection method for recording a projection radiographic x-ray image of an object irradiated by x-ray radiation. USE - X-ray surface detector for recording a projection radiographic x-ray image of an object irradiated by x-ray radiation, for quality control and non-destructive material testing of the object (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The detector is designed such that the x-ray image of the large object to be irradiated can be recorded in a simple, rapid and artifact-free manner. The detector utilizes the same type of scanning modules and large detectors in the security areas, thus reducing cost of the detector. The storage film used as an absorber material can be manufactured in different sizes, thus manufacturing the film in a simple and inexpensive manner. The modular design of the detector with a key-lock connection between the individual scanning modules permits an auto-configuration of the total detector and a simple repair of the defective individual scanning modules.
