Abstract
"For the determination of the flight characteristics and combustion behaviour of RDF in a cement kiln, experimental parameters about RDF fractions are needed and have to be combined in a model. Therefore the trajectories of single RDF fractions are determined and the combustion of the particles is modelled during their way through the flame. The combustion model considers the shrinking of the particle, the release of the volatile matter and the gasification of fixed carbon. The release of the volatile matter and their calorific value and the fixed carbon gasification respectively, are measured by specially developed analytical methods."
