Titel
Human-centred design process for exercises in computer-supported training
Abstract
Exercises and training tasks in e-learning environments are often used to ensure the learning result. Therefore exercises are part in most computer/web based training (CBT/WBT) scenarios. Besides their intention (e.g. 'just' to test or to help someone to gain knowledge) the author of e-learning content has to decide from a variety of different exercise types. He is challenged to find an adequate type to ensure the learning result with regard to the current learning situation, such as the required educational objective for example. We used a human-centred design process according to ISO 13407 to find such appropriate types of exercises to ensure the learning result in computer supported training. We will review the classification of exercise types, the development of prototypes and especially the succeeding usability test.
