Abstract
Bispectral infrared thermal imaging systems, which are able to detect infrared radiation simultaneously in two different spectral bands, are a key requirement for advanced missile approach alerting sensors for civil and military aircrafts. The new bispectral missile alerting sensor detects guided missiles at an early stage with low false alarm rate.
