Abstract
(A1) Vorrichtung zum Encodieren einer Mehrzahl von Informationssignalen fuer eine gemeinsame Uebertragung in einem Zeitmultiplex in einem Zeitrahmen und mit einer Uebertragungsrate, mit einer Einrichtung zum Einstellen einer Komprimierungsrate fuer jedes Informationssignal zur Minderung einer Gesamtqualitaetsstoerung pro Zeitrahmen, so dass pro Zeitrahmen eine aus dem Zeitrahmen und der Uebertragungsrate vorgegebene Uebertragungsmenge nicht ueberschritten wird.

USE - Device for encoding multiple information signals for a common transmission e.g. TV transmission and sport transmission, in a time division within a time frame and with a transfer rate, during a transmission of coded video signals in a digital broadcast system e.g. digital video broadcasting - handheld (DVB-H) system, and digital video broadcasting - terrestrial (DVB-T). ADVANTAGE - The adjusting mechanism adjusts the compression rate for the information signals to reduce overall quality disturbance per time frame so that the preset transmission amount from time frame does not exceed the transmission rate, per frame, thus facilitating the common transmission of multiple information signals in the time division within the time frame in an improved manner. The device limits the bandwidth of the information signals and/or the input signals of the statistical multiplexer by controlling the encoder during the generation of the signals such that the preset total budget at the bits is maintained for the given time frame, so that loss of data packets is avoided and the information flow-rate of the statistical multiplexer amount to 100 percentage.
