Abstract
DE 102007004612 A1 UPAB: 20080815 NOVELTY - The device (100) has a radiator (120) arranged over a mass surface (110) at a radiation distance (150), and a set of parasitic metallic bars (130) are arranged around the radiator at the mass surface in a radially symmetric manner, where the metallic bars are electrically connected with the mass surface. The radiation distance falls below a wave length of an electromagnetic radiation, where wavelength lies between 0.15 meter (m) and 0.3 m. The mass surface is made of metallic material, and is circular, oval, quadratic or rectangular shaped. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for manufacturing an antenna device for transmitting and receiving electromagnetic radiations. USE - Antenna device for transmitting and receiving an electromagnetic radiation of a navigation system e.g. satellite navigation system such as global positioning system (GPS), global navigation satellite system (GLONASS) and Galileo satellite navigation system. ADVANTAGE - The parasitic metallic bars are arranged around the radiator at the mass surface in a radially symmetric manner, and are electrically connected with the mass surface, thus achieving large beam width of radiation characteristics with uniform and stable antenna gain in the frequency range of the navigation system, and hence manufacturing the antenna device in a simple and cost-effective manner.
