Abstract
WO 2008049513 A1 UPAB: 20080528 NOVELTY - The procedure for hardening surface layer of parts of component (1) having complicated shape by energy input zones, comprises conducting the energy input zones on different curved parts separately in space and time by cooperatively working transport systems (6.1) so that superposition of the individual temperature fields forms a uniform temperature field, which completely covers the functional surface of the component and within which each surface element of the later hardening zone of the component attains the selected austenite formation temperature interval Delta Ta and the time interval Delta t. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The procedure for hardening surface layer of parts of component (1) having complicated shape by energy input zones, comprises conducting the energy input zones on different curved parts separately in space and time by cooperatively working transport systems (6.1) so that superposition of the individual temperature fields forms a uniform temperature field, which completely covers the functional surface of the component and within which each surface element of the later hardening zone of the component attains the selected austenite formation temperature interval Delta Ta and the time interval Delta t between the maximum temperatures Tmaxn of the individual temperature fields is 3.1 to 3.n smaller than the time Delta tmS, which is required to go below the martensite start temperature MS during the cooling phase. The energy density distribution of the energy input zone is adapted to the local heat dissipation condition and to the desired hardness width and hardness depth. Laser radiation or inductive energy is used for the production of individual temperature fields. The adaptation of the power density distribution is carried out at the local heat dissipation condition and desired hardness width and depth through suitable oscillation of the partially defocused laser radiation and/or adjusting the distance and/or overlapping between the single inductors and/or adjusting the coupling distances of the inductors for the component and is realized through the moving program of the transport system. The oscillation function for the laser radiation oscillation is actuated and/or produced through the controlling of the transport system. The uniform temperature filed is carried out through simultaneous power of laser radiation and inductively produced power density distribution. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a device for hardening surface layer of parts of component having complicated shape by energy input zones. USE - Procedure for hardening surface layer of parts of component having complicated shape by energy input zones (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The procedure ensures effective hardening of the surface layer of parts of component with good flexibility by uniform distribution of heat.
