Title

Optimierung von Verfahren und Anlagen für eine durchgängige Prozesskette beim Schmieden

Other Title
Optimization of processes and equipment for the process chain in forging
Abstract
Within an experimental framework tests are conducted in order to determine forces on and in the die, which are important for the design of guidings and fastenings. The projects investigates the effectiveness and interaction of guiding systems of tool and machine for the manufacture of parts with ever more complex shape heeding increased demands on dimensional accuracy. Based on the measured values of stresses on guiding systems and their influence on dimensional accuracy suggestions are made for an expedient use of forging technologies, particularly for the design of die guidings and the development of machine and tool systems. A special computer program was developed that goes far beyond the pure calculation of tensions in order to make designing and dimensioning of prestressed forging dies more efficient.
