Titel
Integration of customize-to-order and build-to-order concepts for the 5-day-car
Abstract
The projects ILIPT and AC-DC, both funded by the European Commission, develop logistical concepts for the planning and control of supply chain covering production processes. Both concepts are developed by consortiums composed of major companies of the European Automotive Supplier Industry and Academic Partners. Although the approaches pursued in the projects are rather unequal - a pure build-to-order concept in ILIPT vs. as far as possible customer neutral production in AC-DC - it is shown in this paper how they can be integrated into a common concept. The basic approach is to divide parts according to several criteria into two groups: ""ILIPT-parts"" and ""AC-DC-parts"". Additionally interfaces between the planning processes of both approaches are defined to enable integrated planning.
