Contributions to the Link Performance Evaluation of Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) Networks
Abstract
Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) networks provide massive connectivity for low-cost low-power devices with low mobility and data rate requirements. The focus is on the link reliability, and two challenges are addressed: The susceptibility of LPWA nodes to frequency selective channels and to wireless interference. The proposed models provide general performance limits and support the system design by revealing trade-offs between reliability and complexity.
