The 7th Cirp Conference on High Performance Cutting took place from May 31st until June 2nd, 2016 in Chemnitz, Germany. The conference, organized by the Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology IWU is aimed for both scientists and leading engineers in industry and research institutions. The conference, headed »Productivity versus Robustness« focused on the inter-actions of machine, control, process, tool and the complex interdependency with the objective of resource-efficient production.
