Titel
Scaling agile. How to select the most appropriate framework
Abstract
Context: Agile on team level is already understood. For scaling Agile, many different frameworks exist, but only few are actually used. Selection is often not done systematically, but based on popularity of the framework or recommendation of consultants. Objective: An informed decision-support is needed, on which scaling framework to choose. Method: A literature review and several workshops were conducted to identify existing scaling frameworks and suitable criteria to compare them. Results: We present a set of criteria to compare frameworks and to identify the most suitable one. Our approach to select the most appropriate framework additionally includes a comparison on practice level. Conclusion: The resulting comparison criteria and approaches support a systematic decision on which framework best suits the needs and context of an organization/project.
