Abstract
Virtual Powerplants (VPP) are a promising solution to integrate renewable energy into the energy industry in an economical way. One main aspect of VPP is the intelligent control and management of the decentral energy systems. For this, reliable and secure communication standards are vital. VHPready 4.0 is an open industrial standard for this purpose. In the research project VHPready RefTest a standardized design of a communication gateway were developed. Furthermore, a complete automated test system has been implemented to provide a means for conformance testing.
