Title

Virtual Reality based configuration of robot based automation systems by teleoperation

Abstract
In this presentation the prototype of a new VR based system for the configuration of an assembly process is presented. It is the aim to modify and optimise assembly processes during operation based on the subjective process and procedure knowledge of the operator. This is done by an interactive man-machine-interface (MMI) which is adapted to humans in an ideal way. This interface is based on an intelligent data structure which connects the different layers of activity e. g. product, process and machine parameters. The interactive user interface is based on visual, audial and haptic components which allow an intuitive and useful interaction with the robot which conducts the assembly process. The acquired process data out of the real machine is send back to the interactive MMI and is used for the subjective configuration process in the constant running optimisation procedure.
