Titel
Optical time-of-flight sensors for solid-state 3D-vision
Abstract
This contribution is devoted to "scannerless" optical time-of-flight (TOF) ranging techniques for three-dimensional (3D) vision. Classical optical TOF-3d-techniques employ laser ranging and rotating mirrors, which make their realization bulky, slow, and expensive. In contrast to this "scannerless" techniques operate without any mechanical devices or gadgets and thus offer small size and high speed. Although the contribution features different approaches, they all have one thing in common: they are based on solid-state technologies and are low-cost devices.
