Optimierung von Gleitpaarungen auf Kunststoffbasis für unterschiedliche Einsatzbedingungen
Abstract
The wear performance of polymer compounds containing various fillers and base polymers were tested under unidirectional sliding. A variety of counterpart materials (metals, ceramics and hard coatings) was involved and the tests were performed under dry conditions as well as in water. The aim was to find basic rules how to adapt the compound composition to the loading conditions. It was found that the effect of the filler type greatly depends on the counterpart material and environment.
