Titel
Surface inspection with non-visible technologies: Process integration with low-cost sensors and spectral imaging devices
Abstract
In many production processes, the technical cleanliness of the components is an essential requirement. In order to cope with residues from former processing steps (e.g. oil, grease) effective cleaning means are needed in the production chain. Moreover, the cleanliness must be evaluated between subsequent processing steps. Techniques based on near-infrared spectroscopy are well suited for such an evaluation: They allow to measure the composition of contaminations and the thickness of layers or coatings. Depending on the measurement task, the use in point measurements (combined with robot guidance) up to real spectral imaging is possible. The presentation will show current developments ranging from laboratory setups to process integrated systems in manufacturing environments.
