Titel
Connected testing of electric powertrains
Abstract
As shown with the example of torque vectoring, the utilization of connected test beds offers the possibility for time and cost efficient validation of performance and safety attributes of the integrated electric vehicle in early development phases. A process to ensure the quality of the virtual vehicle and the applied driving maneuvers has been presented. A demonstrator network with connected inverter, e-motor and battery test beds has been implemented and feasible approaches to integrate in real-time the mounted components on this test beds for different network performance have been elaborated. The ongoing work in the TechReaL project focuses on standardization of test bed interfaces, network architecture and setup processes. This should allow for an easy connection of test beds supplied by different manufacturers with different integration platforms. Furthermore the application range for connected test beds is currently extended from functional and performance testing to safety and reliability testing.
