Abstract
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine elektrisch leitfaehige Beschichtung, die herstellbar ist durch hydrolytische Kondensation eines Gemischs, umfassend wenigstens eine Silicium-Verbindung der allgemeinen Formel SiXnR(4-n) (I), in der wenigstens einer der Reste R eine mercaptosubstituierte Alkyl- oder Arylgruppe ist und eine Verbindung der allgemeinen Formel Za Si Yb R(4-a-b) (II), in der der Rest Z beispielsweise ein quartaeres Ammoniumsalz ist. Diese Beschichtung eignet sich insbesondere fuer Tonertransfertrommeln und weist eine hohe Kratzfestigkeit und eine gute Haftung auf dem Substrat auf.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Electroconductive coating, especially for toner transfer drums, is produced by hydrolytic condensation of a mixture of: (a) hydrolyzable, mercapto-substituted silicon compound(s) of formula (I) and; (b) compound(s) of silicon (Si) or other elements selected from boron (B), aluminum (Al), phosphorus (P), lead (Pb), transition metals, lanthanides and actinides capable of hydrolytic condensation, including monomeric compound(s) derived from a Si compound containing quaternary ammonium, anionic or cationic group(s) of formula (II). Si(X)n(R)4-n (I) (Z)aSi(Y)b(R')4-a-b (II) X = alkoxy, hydroxy, halogen, aryloxy or acyloxy; R = (cyclo)alk(en)yl, aralkyl, (cyclo)alkynyl or (alk)aryl, optionally with inert substituent(s), in which mercapto groups present in (I) preferably are on alkyl or aryl groups; n = not defined; Y = hydrogen (H), halogen, OH or optionally substituted alkoxy, acyloxy, alkylcarbonyl, alkoxycarbonyl or NR12; Z = a quaternary ammonium salt derived from R22N-(R3-NR2-)k-R3- or 1/mAmSR22Nr-R3-, 1/mAmS(HO-R3)2NrR3-, 1/mAmS(R2O)2Pr(O)-R3-, 1/mAmSR22-N)2C-Sr-R3, 3/nKnr(OOCS)2-N-R3-N(COOS)-R3-, 1/mAmSH2C=C(R2)-R3- Nr(R22)-R3- or 1/mAmSH2C=C-(R2)-CO-O-R3Nr(R22)-R3-; R' = (substituted) alk(en)yl, (alkyl)aryl or arylalkyl; R1 = H or (substituted) alk(en)yl, (alkyl)aryl or arylalkyl; R3 = (substituted) alk(en)ylene or arylene; AmS = an anion with charge m; Knr = a cation with charge n; a, b = 1, 2 or 3; a + b = 2, 3 or 4; k = 0-3. USE - The toner transfer drums are useful for laser printers, copiers and facsimile machines. ADVANTAGE - The electroconductive lacquer can be cured at low temperature and gives a coating with high scratch resistance and good adhesion to the substrate.
