Abstract
In the last researches at Fraunhofer IWU a combination of Hot Metal Gas Forming (HMGF) and press hardening has been used to form light weight parts made of manganese-boron steel tubes. In the paper new ways for increasing the forming limits of Hot Metal Gas Press Hardening (HMG-PH) will be presented and shown on a demonstration part.
