Abstract
The present work describes the technological state of the art of press hardening, as well as the main research topics and current developments carried out by a press hardening research cluster in Chemnitz, Germany. The aim of this work is to show the great potential for using this technology in Brazil as well as the current development research lines enclosed in cooperation between Germany and Brazil research and industrial institutions.
