Sensing of alkanes in water by using optical microring resonators with hydrophobic and hydrophilic surfaces
Abstract
The use of optical microring resonators with hydrophobic and hydrophilic surfaces for the sensitive and selective detection of alkanes in water is presented. In the case of octane, for example, a detection limit in the range of 0.7 µg/L has been achieved.
