Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for detecting particles which move along a trajectory and produce or at least influence electromagnetic radiation, an electric field or a magnetic field, wherein the electromagnetic radiation S, the electric field or the magnetic field is detected, in which a structuring device is used, which device either ensures that the particles along the trajectory produce or at least influence electromagnetic radiation, an electric field or a magnetic field substantially only at non-periodic spatial intervals or ensures that the electromagnetic radiation S, the electric field or the magnetic field is detected along the trajectory substantially only at non-periodic spatial intervals. In order to provide a method for detecting particles which move along a trajectory and produce or at least influence electromagnetic radiation, an electric field or a magnetic field, the invention proposes that the detected signal S is processed with the aid of a mismatched filter F1 and a particle is detected if the signal DF1 (S) filtered in this manner satisfies a predefined threshold value criterion and no particle is detected if the signal filtered in this manner does not satisfy the predefined threshold value criterion.
