Titel
Development of a demonstrator in the living lab smart farming
Abstract
In the sector of software engineering it is difficult to demonstrate how architecture of a system is working; nevertheless is an important task in this area. Fraunhofer IESE (Institute for Experimental Software Engineering, located in Kaiserslautern, Germany) develops the SAVE (Software Architecture Visualization and Evaluation) tool, a tool for analyzing and visualizing the architecture of existing systems. Analyzing the software architecture is compulsory to have information about the elements, their attributes and the connections among them. In this case the elements are the different systems of the Smart Farming project and the attributes are the software information that each system can have; for example the system of the Virtual tractor can have an attribute called Lines of Code that can be changed in time. But making reference to the elements, attributes and connections the three of them are being handled by the SAVE tool, but the attribute part can be said that is young; thus a brainstorming and new points of view are required. In addition the Smart Farming is a project that takes care of the agricultural machinery and involves mobiles devices and information system. Nevertheless, this system has an architecture that can be visualized with the previously defined SAVE tool. This approach defines the scope of this master thesis: the development of a demonstrator in the Living Lab Smart Farming. Therefore, the main contribution of this thesis is to remodel the attribute part and to analyze the information of Smart Farming for a better management and maintenance of the software architecture.
