How to consider emotional reactions of the driver within the development of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)?

The paper presents a process of how User Experience tests can be integrated in the validation process of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. Hereby a modular process was developed. This process can be integrated in different phases depending on existing validation methods. It involves the decision maker, developer, experimental designer and the potential users (e.g. customer). It will be shown what is necessary to implement User Experience methods in early phases of the product development process.
