The building industry is confronted with new developments and requirements which affect significantly the existing construction processes. The implementation of sustainable building certifications as well as the demand for integrated planning and data consistency by BIM result in an intricate change process to be handled within the entrenched structures of the building sector. The described combination and development of different process management tools could help controlling this change process. Reverse Process Design is a new and strong tool to identify and solve problems in the daily planning and construction practice. Its use enables the development of baseline processes for all types of building projects.
