Abstract
Zur Verbesserung der Ueberwachung von insbesondere brandgefaehrdeten Raeumen sieht die Erfindung ein Verfahren vor, mittels dessen optisch erfasste Informationen wellenspezifisch ausgeloest werden. Weiterhin sieht die Erfindung eine Vorrichtung zur Ueberwachung von Raeumen vor, die von dem ueberwachten Raum zu mindestens einem Spektrometer fuehrende Lichtleiter aufweist.

Optical information recorded at a detection position is transmitted to a spectrometer using optical conductors, especially glass fibers. Information of several detection points is cyclically polled and successively resolved. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - AN INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a device for monitoring spaces. USE - For monitoring spaces for fires, e.g. in airports, railway stations, etc. ADVANTAGE - Overcomes certain disadvantages of conventional arrangements, especially enabling detailed information about fires to be recorded.
