Few-cycle laser pulses with controlled carrier-envelope phase (CEP) provide reproducible electrical fields, which have enabled to enter the realm of attosecond science. This new field aims at the understanding of electronic motions in atoms and molecules at their inherent attosecond time scale. However, the low repetition rate of the used lasers hampers applications, in particular experiments relying on the detection of photoelectrons. To reduce space charge effects and further advance attoscience new laser systems are required [1].
