Titel
Understanding the domain of AmI meeting rooms from a situation and environment modeling perspective
Abstract
A systematic systematic domain study is presented, analysing the context of multimedia work scenarios. The analysis was motivated by the aim of domain abstraction for situation recognition and the realisation pro-active solutions. The results of this study initiated the creation of an environment model, by aid of which context-sensitive applications can support users pro-actively in such environments. The environment model is based on a systematical domain analysis with the intention of developing a model for the properties and paradigms of an abstract world [1]. All scenarios within this scope implicitely define the application domain of the environment model. The abstract description of the abovementioned multimedia work environment is sought to model the neccessary entities and properties of the real world in a way that allows for expressing specific situations of the focussed scenarios of these work environments and describing pro-active support concepts, the given users would expect in different situations.
