This work shows the possibility to optimize time and effort for quality and reliability tests on PV modules based on systematic evaluation of existing test experiences. Exemplarily, a statistical study on changes in the electroluminescence image and module output power due to the common thermal cycling (acc. point 10.11, IEC 61215) after 200 and 400 cycles is shown. Above all, the great benefit of this data is the comparability of exactly determined characteristics before and after stress tests of a large scale of different modules.
