An analytical model for an interdigitated back contact solar cell structure is presented. This model is based on the concept of diffusion resistance and on the superposition principle. The analytical model is compared with finite-element simulations that are based on a conductive boundary model. For most practical cases, the model presented here is in very good agreement with the simulation, with less than 1% deviation on the Voc, jsc, fill factor (FF) and efficiency.
