Ansätze zur effizienten Entwicklung adaptiver Tilger
Abstract

Tuned vibration absorbers are a time tested method for suppressing tonal vibrations. Optimal absorbtion is achieved with undamped absorbers that can, however, run into critical resonances when faced with structural or environmental changes. Adaptive self-tuning absorbers that can adapt their resonance to the changing excitation provide a good alternative that can provide near-optimal absorption at a lower mass. Adaptive tuned absorbers are however in principle more complex, and thus more costly to produce than passive absorbers. Furthermore, the necessary sensors, actuators and controllers pose additional requirements and constraints on the development process, which cancels some of the gains made in efficiency and mass reduction. The approach to this problem developed at Fraunhofer LBF consists of a systematic integration of Design to Reliability practices into the development process, as well as flexible, product family-oriented mechanical design, and modular control hard- and software, which, when taken together, can significantly reduce development time and costs.
