Title
Emissionen von organischen Verbindungen aus naturfaserverstärkten Composites
Abstract
Volatile organic compounds (VOC) or easy volatile and heavy volatile compounds (VVOC and SVOC) respectively are part of the most significant pollutions of the indoor air of buildings and automobile interiors. Certain VOC cause smell nuisances. Fiber reinforced composites are applied in the outdoor area and in the indoor area. Different factors have an influence on the emissions and the smell behavior, like raw materials (fiber material, plastic, additives), pre-treatment of the fiber (storage, tempering, surface treatment), the polymer synthesis and the forming process of the composites. Furthermore, during the phase of use VOC can be built up. The most important test methods regarding the emission and the smell of materials in vehicles, and particularly the procedure for the acquisition and the assessment of building products in interiors are presented in the paper. Furthermore, results of previous investigations on emissions from fiber reinforced composites are gone into.
