Title

Second generation OLED manufacturing: Inline evaporation and highly efficient inverted devices

Abstract
We present results on Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLED), manufactured in a vertical In-Line set-up. The OLED show a luminance of 100 cd/m2 at 6 V and a current and power efficiency of about 7 cd/A and 2 Im/W, respectively. The samples show excellent homogeneity, expected on the basis of homogeneity data for single layers. Lifetimes are comparable to OLED manufactured on conventional point source set-ups. It is also shown that reasonable lifetimes can be archived with sputtered cathodes. Secondly, we will address highly efficient inverted devices. We present top-emitting devices on silicon substrates which achieve excellent properties due to highly conductive injection and tranport layers.
