Migration from single system development to product family engineering is a challenging task. The success of a product line depends greatly on the quality of its architecture Therefore, it is important to leverage the experience embodied in successful, existing systems coming from the same domains. This work introduces the concept of request-driven reverse engineering and its alignment into architectural development method for product lines (PuLSE-DSSA). Furthermore, the experiences of an industrial case study centered on requestdriven reverse engineering together with the MARKET MAKER Software AG are presented.
