Transparent conductive films (TCF) became since the booming use of touch panels a very important research topic. Carbon nanotubes (CNT) are long fibrous carbon structures, which are under investigation as a robust, flexible, conductive coating material. This makes them to the best promising candidate for transparent, flexible and stretchable electrodes. The main challenges are discussed with respect to process technology and some applications are introduced.
