Based on a process chain for the production of semi-finished parts with an integrated sensor and actuator functionality and the forming of those to structural parts, experimental and numerical studies regarding the adhesive behaviour and the forming process are presented. A characterization of the adhesive properties in a viscous and a fully cured condition is necessary to describe the forming and curing process of piezo-metal-compounds. Based on a rectangular cup geometry, the numerical simulation of the forming process and the influence of the adhesive curing are compared with experimental data.
