As multi-core systems become more and more important in modern computer systems as well as in embedded systems these systems are the focus of much research. This work uses a systematic literature review to summarize the results of research in the quality attributes safety, reliability and availability in the context of multi-core systems. In particular this thesis aims at identifying software techniques for improving these quality attributes as well as measurement methods for measuring them. The found metrics and techniques are compared, categorized and discussed to provide an information basis needed for the German ARAMiS project, which goal it is to use multi-core technology to enhance safety, traffic efficiency and comfort in the domains of avionics, automotive and railway. The results of this thesis show, that reliability is a well-covered topic in multi-core, but for safety and availability only few metrics and techniques could be found.
