Titel
Planning changeability in distribution systems
Abstract
Distribution systems are prone to risks and market uncertainties. Inventory policies offer the designated means to exert influence on efficiency and responsiveness of a supply chain. The implementation of an appropriate degree of changeability to inventory planning can be identified as a key factor. Yet, complex and dynamic supply chain information needs to be integrated and a change in policies needs to be harmonised and coordinated between distribution echelons. Advanced technological concepts provide the infrastructure for the necessary interoperable and configurable planning services. This paper presents a respective framework of IT-services and a model for robust inventory planning.
