The goal of WP3.1 was to identify the variabilities of QMs and their relevance, and to study existing adaptation mechanisms in order to provide a basis for the identification of adaptation dimensions (WP 3.2) and for the development of the concrete adaptation process (WP 3.3).
To achieve this objective, (1) we identified the requirements for adaptation mechanisms defined within Quamoco. We summarized those requirements into three major requirements on the adaptation process, namely, correctness, goal orientation, and efficiency. Additionally, (2) we present distributions of the QMs classified in WP1.2 with respect to the different classification criteria and analyzed the reasons for these distributions, as well as their relationship with the Quamoco adaptation process. (3) We studied and collected a variety of adaptation concepts from the literature and from the project partners and (4) we propose a list of these to be used as additional requirements for developing the Quamoco adaptation process.
