Increase of the image reconstruction speed in the computer tomography systems

Implementation of the filtered back-projection algorithm in programmable logic (FPGA) and digital processing (DSP) technique is discussed. The numerical simulations in different systems gave good reconstruction speed results, and showed, that the speed of the back-projection can be considerably increased compared with the current PC implementation of this algorithm.
